Here is a calendar which is a final project for my advanced typography class. The font on here is known as Archatek, a typeface that I created from scratch. Each month is mounted on illustration board. So including the front and back cover, there are 8 pieces of illustration board in the calendar (double sided). I had to use a drill to make the holes for the rings to go in but im extremely happy with the end result. The pictures dont do it much justice, but its the best I can do at the moment. Leave some feedback, always appreciated.
I like the fact that it's not the typical standard calendar. The shape and flow of it stands out tremendously. I was trying to figure out the font and was really amazed that it was made from scratch! Got to love when an idea comes to life! The images you chose actually go with the font. It almost feels like modern pop art. Actually, a name just came to me, sticker pop art. The images can be taken off from the calendar and be used as stickers completely separate from the calendar. The only complaint I have is the area for phone numbers. It should be the same way as the calendar. That really throws it off. Change it horizontally to match the rest of the calendar and it's a wrap!
i really love this piece. i have been trying to find ideas to do my calendar and now yours have motivate me!...its indeed a hard works put in it. nice one man!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
